Erin Nicole is a Tampa, FL native with a sunny and warm disposition. She has a curious nature which has helped her in her career as a broadcast journalist. Her malti-poo puppy is the center of her universe. Her hobbies include reading, writing, running, baking and crafts. She is an ultra feminine woman who loves to get her hands dirty.
What’s your current profession?
I co-anchor Passe Partout in the mornings on weekends and report during the week for KLFY TV-10 in Lafayette, LA. I love working in Cajun Country, although, the French names can be rough for me to pronounce at times
What are your top 3 achievements?
Anchoring the news at 24 years old is pretty cool, plus I ran my first 5K this year, and I cheered professionally for two seasons as a Tampa Bay Lightning Girl. Those will have to do for now.
Tell us about your educational background.
I graduated from The University of Florida with a Bachelors degree in English.
What kind of philanthropic/fundraising work have you done?
I love to volunteer at the Children’s Museum of Acadiana and FoodNet. Working at the station has given me the opportunity to really showcase any fundraisers going on in the area and I’m definitely grateful to have a voice in the community.
What are your favorite platforms or which charitable organizations you admire most?
There are too many great organizations out there, but Ronald McDonald House, St. Jude’s and FoodNet hold a special place in my heart.
Who is your favorite role model?
Definitely my mother. She is a strong woman and I thank God for it daily. There was no chance for me to become a wilting flower type person because I have always had her to look up to. She keeps my head up during any obstacles and is always advocating for those without a voice.
Ten years from now where do you see yourself?
I have plenty of long terms goals, I think that’s important, but I prefer to focus on the journey and enjoy every moment.
